Click the Link and check out my new book.
So this is it. Last year I was approached by a lovely couple to bring this alphabet book to life. I learned so much about myself and my style from this project and couldn't have asked for better clients. They are self-publishing this book on a site called lulu and it also allows you to sell through Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Once it's been approved I'll post those links as well.

New year. Old Project.
Well I've finally decided to start a project I've been mulling over for the past year. It's intended to be a portfolio piece for a mock animated movie so that I can make a book to show future employers. I'm going the Disney way, I'm finding an old fairy tale and putting my own twist on it. But my twist is that I choose a very NON Disney story. Basically mine does not have a happy ending. This is just me playing with the character designs. The story takes place mostly when the character is older but it does spend some time in her childhood. And I've been stuck in my Children's book style for a while now so I thought this would be a good time to experiment with my painting technique. I'm going to try and push myself on this one, with a detailed background and extreme lighting. More to come. Stay tuned!

Catching Starlight
A project I worked on while waiting for my recent client to get back to me on finalizing their book. didn't want to stop painting so I found a really old and vague image in an old sketchbook and decided to try and make it work, I think the sketch was initially Peter Pan but I'm not sure. I had no idea what I wanted to when I started I just picked two color schemes for the kids and went at it.

Getting back into Sculpting
Well it's been a good four years since I last Sculpted and I'm finding it a fun way to blow off steam. After seeing the Guardian's of the Galaxy (c) Disney movie this year my little sister asked me to make her a little Groot and Starlord Action figure. Funny enough the first piece I ever sold a gallery was an Alice in Wonderland themed doll I did my first year at college. I think I may do some more of these using some of my own concept characters, The little Star-Lord isn't finished quite yet I haven't hat time to finish his arms and little blasters. I have preliminary sketches for these two somewhere and once I find them I'll add them in.
Toy design by me.
What I've been up too
For the Past Six months I have been working with an Amazing couple who commissioned me to help them publish a children's story. This was is a Sample of the first few Illustrations I did, complied to keep the story hidden but also to keep my blog updated. The images belong to my clients and cannot be redistributed without their permission.
